Album Surfboards are one of the more recent companies to jump on the softboard bandwagon, with a range of 3 really nice lookin’ foamie models which have recently been released. Album have been long renowned for their beautiful high-end surf craft and this softboard range is no exception.

First thing I noticed about the Album surf soft top boards is that they very similar to those of their Californian counterparts Almond Surfboards and Formula Fun. Exactly like those two brands, the Album range are marketed with the following features:
- 100% recyclable (boards can be returned to Album and recycled)
- Wax free deck deck pads
- Futures Fin Boxes
- Made in the USA
Now not many of us can surf at Asher Pacey’s level (pictured in both photos above), but these boards look like a bit of fun.

Hey Crew,
What is the bottom construction? Is it a “slick”?
Are there stringers in them to keep them stiff?
Pretty keen on a Presto.
Cheers
Jason
Hey Jason,
The bottom of these boards like Almond’s soft tops is the same copolymer foam on bottom as the rails – they don’t use a hdpe slick like majority of foamies. Double stringers in Album’s soft top boards I’m pretty sure.
