Roxy Wetsuits: Prologue 4/3 Review

How Warm is It?

I suffer from the cold and find it very warm. I bought a 4/3 mm even though where I surf (Sydney, NSW) where I live the sea temperature reaches no more than 16 degrees C during winter. I was advised that a 3/2 mm would be enough but I ended up going for the 4/3 and I think it was the right decision for me. 

Comfort / Flexibility and sizing?

The Roxy Prologue wetsuit is really comfortable. I use it for snorkelling and surfing. It feels better every time I use it – like a second skin and It has been easy to get in and out of.  

My height: 1,67 m.Weight: 49 kg. I bought a size 4 based on Roxy Wetsuits Size Chart (see below). I was a bit concerned about buying a westuit without trying it on first but fortunately the size and fit was perfect. It was very tight on the wrists but it expanded and felt OK with the first use.

What do you think of its construction quality?

I dont know too much about construction of wetsuits, but the seams seem to be really secure. Maybe, I can say that water does enter a bit through the wrists (see pic below of inside of wrists). My boyfriends wetsuit has like a silicon tape here and I think maybe that could help to keep cold water from entering as much
.     Also, I chose a back zip Prologue instead of the chest zip one, and sometimes I feel like It does not fit the curvature of my back 100% properly, and leaves a space that gets filled by water.

How has it held up over time?

I’ve only had the wetsuit for a month so I can’t really comment about the longer term. One thing that I can mention is that the velcro strap used on the back of the neck has been touching the inner causing pilling and it is quite inevitable during the usage (pic below).

Your thoughts on the price and value of the Roxy Prologue?

I got this on special for a really good price but I have to admit having used it for a month now I think even at full price it is worth the money. Great quality women’s entry wetsuit for the price.
