ABOUT JONAS CLAESSON
Jonas Claesson has been one of my favourite artists for years now. Each and every picture is pure escapism with his playful surf characters portraying the fun and light hearted side of surfing and adventure.
For the most part, his characters are animals of all types – mooses, bears, you name it. He’s even made a kids book called the Surfing Animals Alphabet!
Jonas Claesson originally hails from Sweden but moved to Australia to study industrial design and to surf. Following work as a designer for Billabong and some other projects, Jonas pursed his artwork and it has gone from strength to strength.
The hand drawn art of Jonas Claesson is now featured in partnerships with major organisations such as Patagonia and other surf industry brands all around the world.
