ABOUT Iki Yasuo
Iki Yasuo is another super talented Japanese artist and surfer.
His simple yet stylish art is so recognizable, mostly due to the the surfer dude character that populates most of his artwork.
Starting late as an artist, Iki started drawing his surf characters after he was inspired on a surf trip in Hawaii. Through some luck and a friend sharing his art on social media – Iki was invited by the organisers of an art festival in Byron Bay to join their show. From there invitations to galleries all around the world started to roll in and he never looked back.
I love Iki’s art because it is fun, doesn’t take itself seriously and always makes you smile.
